NGM at NS Atlanta Jan. 2019

Hello Club members,

Caleb Samples has made contact at NS Atlanta and we gave them the January dates that we, the club  voted on and we are good to go!!

 

We will be making a setup module sign up sheet as well as an operation sheet. And will ask Duane H. to design a layout.

Dates: January 12th - 20th

Setup Jan.12th 2pm

Tear down Jan.20th 3pm

We will setup two shifts - 7am - 3pm  and 3pm - 11pm in 4 hour increments

(of course, you come earlier or stay later, just let us know)

 

(THIS IS A PRIVATE EVENT, MEMBERS ONLY!!)

It's a work in progress, (but we have done this before) and we will hit the ground running.

Here we see South 630 and 4501 double heading near Holtsclaw road as they start out their trip to Summerville, Ga.

A single 4501 producing some great smoke while going near Chickamauga Battle field. It was a great beautiful day and the reason I love to rail fan with steam.

Hello NGM Club members,
 
It's time for our October club monthly meeting at Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth, Ga. Thursday Oct. 25th 7:30 pm
 
A time to Greet & meet, hear club information and food & fellowship. Membership service will provide Pasta & Bread meal for a donation all proceeds will go to the club. The museum is near the NS north main line for some rail fanning also our club maintains the model RR layout there at the museum, you will want to check that out too. 
 
So come early 7:10 pm for Pasta & bread, then 7:30 pm for meeting. We hope to see you there!!

NGM August 2018 meeting

Hello Club members,

Today, 08/23/18, we will meet at Southeastern Railway museum in Duluth, GA. for our monthly club meeting.  As many of you may know, we are in charge of the museum model train layout in the exhibit hall.  This will give club members an opportunity to view the layout and become apart of that team.

So tonight 7:30 pm, as Member Services will provide food and drinks, so we invite you to come early, around 7:15pm for refreshments.

HI NGM’ers,

Hope all is well.

In recent emails and correspondence with me and BOD, I want to clarify something concerning North Georgia Modurail.

The name “North Georgia Modurail” will still be used for:

1. Doing Business As (DBA)
2. Web site
3. Facebook
4. Email
5. Twitter etc.

The only thing that has changed is the legal business entity, which is now NGM Club Inc. and not North Georgia Modurail Inc. which we have dissolved.

What does this mean: membership, payments, fees, tax forms, checks and bank account will be NGM Club Inc. doing business as North Georgia Modurail.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact myself, Bruce or Rob.

January 2018 Club Meeting at SRM

Dear Club Members,

First of all Happy New Year!  January 25 (Thursday evening) will be our first meeting of 2018 and will be held at the Southeastern Railroad Museum.  There will be updates on our December show at Norfolk Southern and plans for shows coming up in the new year.

Plans are continuing for for 25th Anniversary Dinner at Buford Presbyterian on March 24.  Be sure to respond to the notice that you received in December.

As usual, drinks and sandwiches will be available for a donation for those of you who “fight the traffic” to get to the east side of Atlanta.
